“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different.” C.S. Lewis

Without a doubt, change has been the most powerful element in my life as of the last year. I look back on all the changes that have occurred in my life and can’t believe how much has changed, especially the people that have come in and out of my life. I always wondered if it was me who changed, or perhaps it was them? Friends, lovers, or whatever the case was, I realize we both changed over time. Nothing happens overnight. It’s good to accept change, and move forward from it and not dwell on things we can’t control. It’s nice to find peace in knowing that change is possible though, and it can be a very good thing. People can change, outcomes can change, the weather changes.

Dress: Novella Royale  //  Shoes: Free People  //  Bangles: Jen’s Pirate Booty  //  Hat: Free People

It really is hard to stay indoors in So Cal. Thankfully I spent yesterday outside taking in California’s insane winter weather (75 in December? Amazing). Canyon drives, beaches, salty air, coastal views, golden sunsets, it’s seriously endless. Dress by the lovely Mary Meyers of Novella Royale. One of my favorite designers, Mary’s line is inspired by her, “reduce, reuse, recycle” design philosophy. Her line is made of the most amazing cotton blend and she sticks mainly to the 60s/70s style I love. This dress is one of my favorites of this season, mainly because the cut and fit. Love NR, love love love.

Check out more of her amazing line here: Novella Royale
